The Banquet Serves Warmth and Nourishment to Sioux Falls Community with Help from Holy Spirit Knights of Columbus
and Parishioners
SIoux Falls, SD – January 17 – Under the biting chill of a South Dakota night, the spirit of communal philanthropy burned brightly at The Banquet in downtown Sioux Falls. On January 16, the Holy Spirit Knights of Columbus and members of the Levitt at the Falls organization, alongside family and parishioners, prepared and served a hearty evening meal to more than 265 adults and children in need.
The Banquet, a bastion of hope and support for the Sioux Falls community, has been on a mission since its inception in 1985 to provide warmth, nourishment, and companionship to those most vulnerable among us. Its vision, rooted deeply in the values of dignity and respect, has seen the organization become a beacon for those seeking solace and sustenance in the face of hardship.
Throughout its history, The Banquet has held fast to its calling to serve hot, nutritious meals without charge or question of faith, creed, or circumstance. With the support of a steadfast volunteer force comprising individuals, families, organizations, and local businesses, The Banquet has not just offered a meal but extended an invitation to all to sit down as a family and community.
The recent event, just one of the over 200,000 meals served annually, was prepared and served by the volunteers. Thank you for your participation and time!
