The Holy Spirit Knights of Columbus joined three, soon to be, Habitat for Humanity (HFH) homeowners along with two HFH project leaders on the weekend of June 1st, 2024 to work on the foundation of a new home in northern Sioux Falls. The crew kept busy sawing, pounding, and climbing around the poured basement walls in preparation for additional concrete pours early the following week.
It was a pleasure to meet and work with three local soon to be homeowners who were working on their “sweat equity”. To qualify for a HFH home the future homeowners must work 300 or more hours on both their and others’ homes being constructed by the HFH volunteer teams.
Watch for future quarterly opportunities to volunteer with the Knights of Columbus members on HFH build activities. Thanks to all the guys who helped on Saturday.
