On the morning of Saturday September 7th, 2024 Holy Spirit Knights of Columbus in addition to other Councils, community members and parishioners gathered in the Church’s parking lot to help build beds for children in the city of Sioux Falls for the Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) chapter. This build event marked the first event fully managed by the Sioux Falls SHP chapter after being reopened earlier this year.
The assembled crew performed the tasks of cutting, drilling, sanding and staining all the pieces to assemble needed beds. The pieces will be assembled at each recipient’s home during delivery by SHP. During the event enough pieces were created for 30 beds, 40 additional side boards and enough preparative cutting for another build event being held the following week.
