Honoring the Blessed Mother After Donation

At our recent October 2024 Council meeting, we are pleased to announce a generous gift from Don and Maggie Zahm: a beautiful statue of Mother Mary. This thoughtful contribution is a true blessing for our Council, and we will take great pride in displaying the statue in a place of honor at each of our meetings.

The Knights of Columbus have a longstanding tradition of holding the Virgin Mary in the highest reverence. As the Mother of our Savior, Mary embodies grace, compassion, and unwavering faith. Her example inspires us to live lives of service, charity, and fraternity, principles that are at the core of our mission.

In honor of her significance in our faith, we conclude each Council meeting by praying a decade of the Holy Rosary. This practice not only deepens our connection to Mary but also strengthens our spiritual bond as we seek her intercession for our community and the world.

I will put enmities between thee and the woman, and thy seed and her seed: she shall crush thy head, and thou shalt lie in wait for her heel.

 (Genesis 3:15)

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Zahm family for this remarkable gift, which will serve as a constant reminder of our commitment to our faith and to one another. We invite all members to gather for our meetings and join us in prayer, reflecting on the virtues of Mary and the mission of the Knights of Columbus.
