Knights Start New Year with Feeding South Dakota

On January 28th, 2026 Holy Spirit Knights, parishioners, and community members gathered at Feeding South Dakota to pack meals for families facing hunger across the Sioux Empire. Since 1975, Feeding South Dakota has served as the state’s largest hunger-relief organization, working tirelessly to end hunger across all 66 counties from rural communities to metro areas to Native American Reservations. As a member of the Feeding America network, they provide essential food resources through their distribution centers and agency partners statewide. Their vision is a South Dakota where no person’s health, well-being, or potential is limited by access to nutritious food.

We’re proud to continue our partnership with Feeding South Dakota throughout 2026, building on the success of our service events last year. Volunteers are essential to their mission, helping to sort food, pack boxes, fill backpacks for children, and assist at mobile distributions. Interested in joining us for our next opportunity? Sign-ups are now open for teens and adults on our events page, whether you’re a Knight, parishioner, or community member, we welcome anyone looking to serve our neighbors in need.
